available solutions

Our signal processing solutions include but are not limited to:

Electronic Dispersion Compensation (EDC)

In many communication systems there is a temporal spreading of the transmitted symbols during transmission so that subsequent symbols overlap at the receiver. This effect is also referred to as Intersymbol Interference (ISI).  Electronic Dispersion Compensation (EDC) allows to mitigate or compensate ISI in the receiver.

We develop and implement advanced signal processing solutions for EDC including:

· feed-forward equalization (FFE)

· decision-feedback equalization (DFE)

· maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE)

· a posteriori probability (APP) equalization

· turbo equalization combining EDC and FEC (see below)

Forward error correction (FEC)

FEC allows the receiver of a digital communication system to detect and correct transmission errors without the retransmission of data. The use of FEC is also referred to as channel coding or error correction coding (ECC). We develop and implement advanced signal processing solutions for the following FEC/ECC schemes:

· block codes

· convolutional codes

· tailbiting convolutional codes

· serial or parallel concatenated codes (turbo codes)

· low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes
