Matthias Moerz received the Dipl.-Ing. and the Dr.-Ing. degrees in electrical engineering from the Technische Universität München, Germany, in 1999 and 2007, respectively. Prior to founding aspien, he worked at the Institute for Communications Engineering, where he was involved in a joint research project together with Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies. He held different contractor positions at Bell Labs in Murray Hill, New Jersey, Swindon, United Kingdom and Holmdel, New Jersey. Matthias is one of the pioneers in the area of analog decoding and published more than 17 scientific papers in the area of analog signal processing. Based on his innovative business idea he was awarded the second prize in the Munich Business Plan Competition 2004. As entrepreneur, he set up the company’s office in downtown Munich and developed an international client base. Matthias is heading a multinational engineering team and manages different technical projects with renowned customers in the area of communications and semiconductors.
